Placing a deposit on a Shiba Inu puppy (our deposit policy).

  1. Deposit amount of $200.00 will be applied towards total purchase price.

  2. Deposit must be received within 5-days of verbal or written
     commitment to purchase a specific puppy.

  3. If we physically receive another persons deposit for the same
     puppy before your deposit we will return your deposit.

  4. If a deposit is paid by check we will mark the puppy as "ON HOLD"
     and the puppy will not be listed as sold until the check clears. Paying by PAYPAL is the fastest
     method (instant) of securing your puppy choice as SOLD!

  5. If a deposit refund (you change your mind about purchasing a
     puppy) is requested on a puppy that is over 6 weeks of age then
     50% of deposit amount is non-refundable($100.00)
      At 7 weeks of age, then 75% of your deposit is non
     refundable ($150.00)
     At 8 weeks of age, then 100% of your deposit is non
     refundable.

The deposit policy is very simply designed to make sure of the following;

  1. That your are have researched and are sure that you want a puppy,
  2. You have researched and are sure that you want a Shiba-Inu.
  3. You are sure that you want to purchase a specific puppy from CINTO
     SHIBA'S.
  4. You are sure that you want the specific puppy that you
     reserve/make a purchase commitment on.

Shiba Inu's are in demand and we simply do not want or desire to hold a puppy for someone that is not sure about a purchase choice.

Please consider the puppy first;

  1. At 8-weeks of age the puppy is ready for a new home.

  2. If at 8-weeks of age all of the puppies litter mates are already
     gone to new homes the puppy will be lonely.

  3. If at 8-weeks of age all of the puppies litter mates are already
     gone to new homes the puppy will receive more attention from us
     and will bond with us even more making an adjustment to a new home
     at a later age even more traumatic for the puppy (and us!).

In the past 9 years we have only had one person show up for a puppy and change their mind about the purchase! That person drove from New York and when they arrived an saw the parents they commented that they did not realize that Shiba's were not bigger and that they really wanted a larger dog!

We have had two families arrive and then decide that they wanted two dogs instead of one. Unfortunately 99% of the time all of our  puppies are SOLD before the puppies reach the age of 5-weeks. Most quality breeders have waiting lists for their puppies. We have chosen not to due to the fact that we do not breed our dogs every time they go into heat. If we bred our dogs every time they go into heat we would produce between 7 to 9 litters per year! We have no desire to be a puppy mill (a puppy mill is a business that produces  as many or more puppies than the market can bear!). Our dogs are our pets and we limit our litters to no more than three per year so we can make sure that the puppies are handled every day and very well socialized.

All this boils down to the simple fact that if you are sure about buying a Shiba-Inu we are positive that you will be thrilled with your choice of purchasing one of our babies from us.
